HAZELWOOD
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
Not actually a commission, the Red Giants dining room frieze at Hazelwood was painted as a gift for three of the artist’s friends shortly after they bought a run-down but remarkably intact 1922 bungalow in the storybook-style neighborhood of Westwood Park. After 25 years of meticulous restoration and expansion, Hazelwood today is a magnificent California Arts and Crafts Dreamhouse.
