Evening bar

Smyth Hotel, tribeca, manhattan

The Evening Bar mural in the the former Smyth Hotel celebrates moments in the lives of some of Gotham’s archetypal characters spanning four centuries in the oldest part of the city, TriBeCa, once known as New Amsterdam.

The mural was the artist’s first collaboration/commission with the award-winning Gachot Studio. In the characteristically mercurial way of Manhattan, the hotel changed hands within a decade, and the Evening Bar is no longer. All of the original artwork survives however, and some has made it’s way into private collections.
